Waverly - Gary Gene White, 81, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on February 25, 1943, in Worthington, Minnesota, the son of Ward and Phyllis (Holm) White.

Gary grew up in Worthington and had lived in Waverly for over 50 years.

Gary served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1966 as a E-4. He worked at IBP in Emporia for 20 years and then became self-employed. He was an avid fisherman and Kansas City Chiefs fan.

On August 3, 1968, Gary was united in marriage to Barbara Leonard in Kansas City. To this union a daughter was born, Kari.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife Barbara on January 30, 2016; and by his parents, Ward and Phyllis.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Kari Mesik and husband Scott of Ottawa, by his brother, Randy White and wife Eunice of Crook, South Dakota; by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Gary will be announced in the Spring by Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon.
