Overbrook - Eula Catherine (Coffman) Shepard, 97, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at her home in Overbrook, Kansas. She was born on March 19, 1925, in rural Carbondale, Kansas the daughter of Claire John and Elda Flo Coffman. Eula graduated from Carbondale High School in 1942.

On January 23, 1946, Eula was united in marriage to LeRoy Israel Shepard in Carbondale, Kansas. They shared over forty-five years of marriage before LeRoy passed away on April 7, 1991. To this union they shared two children, John LeRoy and Linda Catherine.

After high school, Eula worked for Singer Sewing Machine Company as a seamstress. She was a seamstress all of her life and was known by many in the community as the "Raggedy Ann Doll Lady" because she made dolls for many children as well as alterations. Eula was a partner with her husband, LeRoy, where they owned and operated Shep's Enterprises selling cars and boats for over twenty-five years in Overbrook. Eula was a member of the Grace Community Church, which she enjoyed, but most of all, she loved being a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Eula was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; her parents, Claire and Elda; and her sister, Velma Jane Vann.

Eula is survived by her son, John LeRoy Shepard of Overbrook; her daughter, Linda Catherine (Thomas) Prockish of Topeka; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Corey, Richard, Ashla and Eustacia; thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Eula will be at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 23, at the Grace Community Church in Overbrook. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time.
