Lyndon--Duane Robison, 78, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on April 28, 1940 in Lawton, Oklahoma, the son of T.B. and Cora Dell (Pettijohn) Robison.
Duane grew up in Lawton, had lived in Lyndon over 50 years and had lived in Topeka for the last several months.
Duane received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma and received his Master's Degree from Emporia State Teacher's College. He was a Math and Science teacher in Secondary Education at Lecompton High School for four years and then at Lyndon High School for thirty-five years. He was also the assistant basketball coach for many years. Duane was an avid softball player in the senior league in Topeka, was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church, the NEA and the KNEA.
On January 26, 1963, Duane was married to Patricia Ann Fowler in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dianna Troop.
Duane is survived by his wife, Ann; his three children, Keith Robison of Kansas City, Missouri, Scott Robison of Boise, Idaho and Susan Robison of Seattle, Washington; his two brothers, Danny Robison of Hanford, California and Darrell Robison of Moore, Oklahoma; his sister, Debra Jimboy of Moore, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services for Duane will be at 7:00pm on Friday, November 16 at the Lyndon United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until service time.
