Dorothy Evelyn Tucker's Obituary
Osage City--Dorothy Evelyn Tucker, 92, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on April 1, 1929 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of William and Lela (Reed) Davis.
Dorothy grew up in Tennessee where she graduated from high school in 1947. She had lived in Osage City for over 50 years.
Dorothy had worked as Osage Manor as a housekeeper for 21 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Osage City.
On November 11, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage to Johnnie Tucker in Clarksville, Tennessee. To this union three sons were born, Ronald, Michael and Fred.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie, on February 4, 2005; by a son, Fred Tucker on December 9, 2017; by her two brothers, Charles Davis and Aubrey Davis; and by her two sisters, Mary Davis and Willie May Davis.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Ronald Tucker and his wife, Zona and Michael Tucker, all of Osage City; her two granddaughters, Karen (Darrell) Willcut of Richmond and Bobbie Jo (Michael) Huntzinger of Towanda; and her four great-granddaughters, Aryanna Smith, Emily Willcut, Olivia Huntzinger and Aubrey Huntzinger.
Graveside services for Dorothy will be at 3:00pm on Friday, May 7 at the Osage City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30pm at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon and then go in procession to the cemetery. Memorial contributions for Dorothy may be made to Midland Hospice Care, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
