Dora Ellen Arb's Obituary
Topeka - Dora Ellen Arb, 84, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at her home in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on October 12, 1938, in Lyndon, Kansas, the daughter of Samuel and Ina (Haslett) Manning.
Dora grew up in Lyndon and had lived there until 2008 when she moved to Osage City. She had lived in Topeka for the last 3 years.
Dora graduated from Lyndon High School in 1956. She had been an In-Home Caretaker for many years and a full time Homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Osage City and had been a part of the Osage County Senior Center.
On July 19, 1957, Dora was united in marriage to Lester Arb in Lebo, Kansas.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Lester on February 20, 2020; her parents, Samuel and Ina; her brother, Nelson Manning; her sister, Margaret Jeffrey; and her stepmother, Irene (Campbell) Manning.
Dora is survived by her three children, Diana (Leo) Klumpe of Topeka, Larry (Kathy) Arb of Osage City and Debbie (Jim) Miller of Daisetta, Texas; her brother, Carl (Charlotte) Manning of Lyndon; her sister, Sharon (Russell) Cowan of Osage City; her stepsister, Sally Smothers of Georgia; two granddaughters, one step granddaughter and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 11, at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Osage City, Euclid Lodge #101 or the Osage County Historical Society, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Lyndon Cemetery at a later date.
