Osage City - Dolores Nadine Croucher, 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Osage Nursing in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on March 11, 1931, in Lindsborg, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest and Alice (Balocca) Didier.
Dolores had lived all of her life in the Osage City community. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1949.
On February 27, 1949, Dolores was united in marriage to Glenn Dale Croucher in Lyndon. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2014
Dolores worked in the fabric department at Ben Franklin in Osage City for many years. She was a very talented seamstress and a Homemaker. Dolores was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the St. Patrick's Altar Society and she was a member of the Osage Public Library Board. She belonged to several community ladies' clubs and volunteered for multiple area organizations.
Dolores is survived by her four children, Richard Croucher and Marty of Topeka, David Croucher and Cheri of Michigan Valley, Gregg Croucher and Cheryl of Osage City and Alisa Hart and Britton of Emporia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Ann Stephenson and L.J. of Topeka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Osage City. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:30pm on Thursday, January 5 at the church, where family will receive friends following the rosary until 8:00pm. Private inurnment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery will be held at a later date.
