Obituary

Lyndon - Darrell Gene Warren, 87, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on July 11, 1939, near Lyndon, Kansas, the son of Herbert and Leona (Butterfield) Warren.

Darrell had lived most of his life around the Lyndon and Vassar communities. He graduated from Lyndon High School in 1957.

Darrell had worked many years as a Drywall Finisher, was an over the road truck driver and had farmed through the years.

Darrell was married to Lila Hildebrand in 1960, they later divorced. To this union three daughters were born, Karen, Debra and Amy. He married Sandra Couts in 1993. Sandy preceded him in death on September 5, 2007.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Leona.

Darrell is survived by his three daughters, Karen Warren (Tim Harford) of New Braunfels, Texas, Debra (David) Rasmusson of Lyndon and Amy (Don) Tobler of Lebo; by his two brothers, Bennie (Betty) Warren of Lyndon and Herb (Loretta) Warren of Overbrook; by his six grandchildren Max and Sam Harford, Elizabeth Hummel and Neil Rasmusson, Heather and Dustin Tobler; and by his eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Darrell will be at 11:00am on Friday, August 21 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to service time on Friday. Private family burial will take place at Lyndon Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Darrell may be made to Lyndon United Methodist Church or Lyndon Lions, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
