Vassar - Darlene Fae Bobendrier departed this world on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home on Pomona Lake near Vassar, Kansas, at the age of 86, to meet our Lord and her departed family. She was born on January 22, 1940, In Burlingame, Kansas, the daughter of Earl and Fern (Craven) Parker.

Darlene married Steve Eldridge and they had one son, Robin. They later divorced. Darlene married Howard Dunn. They were married until Howard's passing. She married Clarence "Bob" Bobendrier on May 28, 2004.

Darlene graduated from Burlingame High School in 1958. She had lived most of her life in Osage County. She owned and operated a restaurant in Burlingame for 15 years. She had lived in Burlingame until the passing of her husband Howard and then moved to Vassar. After her marriage to Bob, they bought a house in South Shore on Pomona Lake, where she lived until passing.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Fern; by three of her sisters, Verna Parker, Lila Jones and Rose Parker; and by two of her brothers, Earl and Dale Parker.

Darlene is survived by her husband Bob of the home; by her son, Robin Eldridge; her brother, Don Parker; her sister, Shirley Hansford; her three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of Life for Darlene will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, June 5 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Burlingame Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
