Lyndon--Daisy Lucille (Kunkel) Schneider, 99, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Osage Nursing Center. She was born on May 14, 1917 at Scranton, Kansas, the daughter of Otto and Elizabeth Harrison Kunkel.
She grew up in Scranton, and had lived on a farm near Lyndon and then in Lyndon since 1971.
Daisy had been a Homemaker and had worked as an Aide at Hilltop Nursing Home in Lyndon. She was a member of the Vassar United Methodist Church.
On August 21, 1935, Daisy was married to Fredrick Schneider in Lawrence, Kansas.
Daisy was preceded in death by her husband Fred on October 2, 1982; by her parents, Otto and Elizabeth; her three sisters, Margaret Haas, Helen Griffin and Ruby Schneider; and by an infant brother.
Daisy is survived by her son, Larry (Mary Ann) Schneider of Lake Oshawno north of Carbondale; her daughter, Betty (Bennie) Warren of Lyndon; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Daisy will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 16 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Lyndon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Monday at the funeral home.
