Osage City--Curtis Cason, 82, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Peterson Nursing Home in Osage City, Kansas. He was born on May 15, 1933 in Lamesa, Texas, the son of John and Lila Duke Cason.
Curtis had lived in Copperas Cove, Texas until moving to Osage City.
Curtis had worked as an Oil Field Hot Shot Driver, owned Service Stations and Drilled Water Wells. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1954 in Korea. He attended the Countryside Baptist Church in Osage City.
On January 1, 1981 Curtis married Mary D. Bocquin in Alice, Texas.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Keith Cason.
Curtis is survived by his wife Mary of the home; his son Keith "Chuck" Cason of Ft. Worth, Texas; his daughter, Lila Furtado of Midland, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Curtis will be at 11:00am on Saturday, January 16 at the Countryside Baptist Church in Osage City. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before service time at the church. Inurnment will be in the Catholic Cemetery at Reading at a later date.
