Lyndon--Clayton Troy Spinks, 63, entered into heaven on Saturday, December 26, 2020, surrounded by his family at St.Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on December 12, 1957 in Springdale, Arkansas, the son of Troy and Margaret (Boyd) Spinks.

Clayton had grown up in Arkansas and had lived in Lyndon since 1983. He had graduated from the Tulsa Welding School in 1979 and had worked for General Electric as a welder during the construction of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant at Burlington, Kansas. He had served in the Army National Guard. He had then worked as a drywall specialist for Drywall System Inc. of Wichita for the last several years.

On May 23, 1981, Clayton was united in marriage to Penny Lou Gilliland in Burlington, Kansas. To this union, three children were born, Angela, Troy and Stephen.

Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Troy.

Clayton is survived by his wife Penny of 39 years; his three children, Angela (Nicholas) Foreman of St. Joseph, Missouri, Troy (Hannah) Spinks of Clarinda, Iowa and Stephen (Ashley) Spinks of San Clemente, California; his mother, Margaret Spinks of Rogers, Arkansas; his brother, Nathan Spinks of Lowell, Arkansas; and five grandchildren, Emmalynn Spinks and Christian, Noah, Isabella and Alexa Foreman.

Graveside services for Clayton will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 31 at the Lyndon Cemetery. Clayton will lie in state from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Wednesday at the Feltner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30pm.
