OSAGE CITY

Obituary

Osage City - Agnes Adaline "Ciss" Totman, 71, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Kelly House of Meriden. She was born on May 6, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Elsmont "Kelly" and Evaleena (Lumsden) Bernatowicz.

Ciss grew up in Detroit and Kansas City and had lived in Osage County for over 50 years.

Ciss had worked at Hallmark Cards in Osage City, but she spent most of her time as a Homemaker and Mother.

On March 15, 1980, Ciss was united in marriage to Gail "Ed" Totman at Barclay, Kansas. Together they raised three daughters.

Ciss was an avid gardener and prolific reader. She did her best to instill a love of nature and the written word in her children and grandchildren, always up for a walk in the woods, a fishing trip, and an animated bedtime story.

Ciss was preceded in death by her parents, Elsmont and Evaleena, along with siblings Mike, Frank, and Betty.

Ciss is survived by her husband Ed of nearly 44 years; her three daughters, Angel (Jeremy) McGhee of Topeka, Kelly (Rick) Eden of Ramona, Oklahoma and Katie (Ely) Creach of Kansas City, Kansas; her brother, John Maxwell of Burlingame; her two sisters, Martha Arreola of Emporia and Sue Brown of Columbia, Missouri; her nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one nearly here; other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on February 10th, 2024, from 2:30-4:00PM at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Memorial contributions in memory of Ciss may be made to the Osage City Public Library, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
