Christopher Sluder, age 50 of Bottineau, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, the son of Carl and Phyllis (Rusk) Sluder, was born on October 30, 1964 at Lawrence, KS. He was reared and educated in Melvern, KS. Chris graduated from High school and attended college at Kansas State, receiving a Bachelors degree in Ag. Economics. On July 30, 1988 he was married to Beth Votapka at Oberlin, KS. After their marriage he began working in the swine industry. Chris was employed by Monsanto, Smithfield and AMVC Management. His work made it possible to live in the Midwest, residing in Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Colorado. In September 2014 they moved to Bottineau and he began working at Turtle Mountain Pork near Souris.

He enjoyed learning about American history, Biblical history, his own ancestry and talking about politics. Chris embraced his Christian belief and was a Lay Minister.

He is survived by his wife Beth of Bottineau; son, Matthew Sluder and his wife Claire, of Joplin, MO; a daughter, Kelly Sluder of Bottineau; parents, Carl and Phyllis Sluder of Kansas; brothers John Sluder of Texas and Paul Sluder of Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 7:00pm, Tuesday March 31,2015 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel,in Lyndon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
