Lyndon - Cheryl Diane Bowman, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at her daughter's home in Lyndon, Kansas. She was born on July 2, 1948, in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Benjamin and Esther (Schroeder) Thrasher.

Cheryl grew up in Hutchinson, had lived in Lyndon for a time and had returned to Hutchinson in 1978.

Cheryl had worked in retail at Target and Walmart in Hutchinson, and as a para at a few schools in Hutchinson as well.

On April 28, 1967, Cheryl was married to Glen "LaVerne" Wilson, they divorced in 1978. She married Charley Joe Bowman on November 18, 1983. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2012.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Esther; a son, David Buchholz; a brother, Clifford "Skip" Thrasher; a sister, Karen Bertrand; and a grandson, Troy Matlack..

Cheryl is survived by her four children, Stephanie (Wilson) Bedford of Lyndon and Mark (Eliora) Wilson of Wichita, Jim (Debbie) Bowman of Augusta and Julie Graham of Oktaha, Oklahoma; her brother, Gary Thrasher of Hutchinson; three sisters, Linda (Randy) Settle, Carolyn "Jeannie" (Mose) Price and Marietta (Mike) Thrasher, all of Hutchinson; her nine grandchildren, Brandon (Courtney) Bowman, Jeremy (Kelsey) Testerman, Quinton Testerman, Daniel Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Jordan (Caleb) Hecker, Hannah Wilson, Gideon Wilson and Kaidyn Wilson; and six great-grandchildren, Madison (Dakota) Dill, McKenzie and Brynne, Bentley, Alaina and Kade Testerman.

Cheryl was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
