Olivet--Buddy Gerber, 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia, Kansas. He was born on August 18, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Herman and Ina Morris Gerber.

Buddy had lived in Kansas City for many years before moving to Olivet, where he has lived for the last 40 years.

Buddy had owned Gerber Florist and had worked at Gerber Moving and Storage, both in Kansas City. He was a Volunteer Firefighter and Board Member of the Osage County Fire District #3 Melvern/Olivet. He had been a member of the Trinity Baptist Church near Vassar and was a member of the Lebo Baptist Church.

Buddy was married to Jeannine Huggard in Miami, Oklahoma. They later divorced.

Funeral services for Buddy will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, August 17, at the Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon. Burial will be in the Alpine Cemetery.
