Topeka--Britta Sue (Browning) Whitaker, 59, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 at her home in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on December 13, 1959 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Marla Schultz Browning.
Britta grew up in Topeka, where she graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1977. She had also lived in Bremerton, Washington, Kansas City, Kansas and Gardner before moving back to Topeka.
Britta had worked in banking for many years and was a Trustee Officer. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Vassar.
Britta was preceded in death by an infant brother, Roger Nix.
Britta is survived by her parents, Richard and Marla Browning of Quenemo; by her sister, Donice Browning of Quenemo; and by her two step brothers, Harley Browning of Topeka and Keith Browning of La Veta, Colorado.
Funeral services for Britta will be at 1:30pm on Monday, March 18 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, north of Pomona Lake.
