Obituary

Ottawa - Bonnie Lou Brannan was born on October 1, 1950, in Colony, Kansas, the daughter of Leonard and Geraldine (Alkinson) Matteson. She departed this life on September 20, 2014, in Ottawa, Kansas at the age of 63 years, 11 months and 19 days.

Bonnie lived in Colony until she was 5, when her family moved to Ottawa. She had worked as a Nurse's Aide and then in the kitchen at Cedar Square in Ottawa. In the last few years, she had cleaned homes. She attended the Calvary Baptist Church.

On October 20, 1967, Bonnie was united in marriage to Charles Luther Brannan in Ft. Scott, Kansas.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Geraldine; her son, Eddie Brannan on June 23, 2008, and by an infant son, Jeffery Brannan.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Charles, of 46 years; her son, Charles Branna, Jr. of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Mary Kieffabor and Janet Brannan, both of Ottawa; a stepson, Shawn Curry of Arkansas; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Gibbs of Osawatomie; her twin sister, Connie Richardson of Pomona; a half-brother, Ray Ward of Colorado; seventeen grandchildren; five step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
