Betty Ann King's Obituary
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma - Betty Ann King, 86, formerly of Vassar, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Prairie House Assisted Living in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born on December 13, 1934 in Washington, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Nora (Foster) Peterson.
Betty had lived in Pomona Heights on Lake Pomona near Vassar for over 40 years before moving to Oklahoma in 2020.
Betty had done clerical work for Cappers Insurance Services in Topeka for
over 30
years until her retirement. She had been a member of the Vassar United Methodist Church.
On August 1, 1962, Betty was united in marriage to Don King in Topeka, Kansas. To this union a daughter was born, Diane.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Don on June 18, 2009; and by her parents, Fred and Nora
; and her sister, Beverly, this past March.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Diane Kalik and husband, Andrew of Dallas, Texas; and her two grandsons, Hutton and Bently Kalik.
A graveside m
emorial service for Betty will be held on
Saturday, September 18 at 11:00a.m.
at the
Vassar Cemetery
