Osage City - Barbara E. "Billie" Paxton, 87 of Osage City, KS passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home. Services will be 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Community Covenant Church, 334 N. Topeka Ave., Osage City, KS 66523 with burial to follow in Osage City Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m., until service time Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home.

Billie was born November 9, 1933 in Williamsburg, KS. She moved to Burlingame at an early

age and was married to Paul L. Paxton on January 27, 1951.

She had worked for Osage Products, a division of Hallmark Cards in Osage City from 1967 until she retired in 1990. After retirement she owned and operated Billie's Country Place in Osage City for a number of years. She and Paul enjoyed making wood crafts and traveled to craft shows. Billie loved to travel and would often take extensive vacations one time visiting all 5 provinces of Canada. One of their favorite spots to visit was Arizona.

Billie is survived by 4 children; Debbie Hardin of Topeka, KS, Danny Paxton of Osage City, KS, Deanne Montgomery and husband Robert of Leavenworth, KS and Dana Christian and husband Rick of Lee's Summit, MO; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul L. Paxton in 2005, her parents, Art and Nadine Williamson, son-in-law, Dick Hardin, grandchild, Kelsey Montgomery.
