Quenemo - Barbara Ann McCurdy, 70, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. She was born on June 26, 1953, the daughter of Dan and Erma (Redenbaugh) Sipp.

Barbara had lived in Burrton, Kansas for many years before moving to Quenemo in 1996, where she has lived since.

Barbara worked in Dietary Management in Nursing Homes. She had been a member of the Burrton Christian Church and Charity Shines in Burrton.

On November 27, 1972, Barbara was united in marriage to Denny McCurdy in Miami, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born, Michele, Trisha, Tom and Madeline.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Denny on March 11, 2012; by her parents, Dan and Erma; and by a sister, Diane Berry.

Barbara is survived by her four children, Michele (Craig) Eastman of Topeka, Trisha Clark of Wichita, Tom McCurdy of Topeka and Madeline (Chris) Burkdoll of Waverly; her brother, Dan Sipp, Jr. of Michigan; her two sisters, Nancy (Steve) Anderson of Quenemo and Jane Belias of Seattle, Washington; fourteen grandchildren: Mariah, Wyatt, Blaize, Krimzyn, Zarek, Ethan, Cameron, Adeline, Kylie, Tristen, Spencer, Aiden, Hayes and Layla; other relatives and friends.

Barbara's family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 14 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Private family inurnment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Quenemo at a later date.
