Lyndon--Barbara Ann Anstaett, 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Brookside Retirement Community In Overbrook, Kansas. She was born on August 11, 1946 in Wellington, Kansas, the daughter of George and Myrtle Mohney Whaley.
Barbara had lived most of her life in the Lyndon community.
Barbara worked for Osage County in the County Treasurers office until her retirement.
Barbara was married to Lewis Ogle, they later divorced. She married Jerry Anstaett on November 25, 1984 in Lyndon.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle; and her brother, James Whaley.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Jerry of the home; her three children, Shawn (Rhonda) Ogle of Osage City, Erin (Chris) Cole of Vassar and Dustin (Courtney) Anstaett of Topeka; her brother, Matt Whaley of Asbury Park, New Jersey; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Barbara will be at 5:30pm on Monday, September 3 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until service time on Monday. Inurnment will be in the Lyndon Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Barbara Anstaett Scholarship Fund, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS. 66451.
