Osage City--Anita Faulkner, 76, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on February 28, 1940 on the family farm near Melvern, Kansas the daughter of Oscar and Hazel Goldsmith Beck.
Anita graduated from Emporia High School in 1958 and had lived in Lyndon before moving to Osage City where she has lived for the last 40 years. She worked as a Sales Clerk for Venture in Topeka and then for Jerry's Thriftway in Osage City.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Hazel; by three brothers; and by three sisters.
Anita is survived by her life long friend and care taker, Rita Christiason of Osage City; her daughter, Sandy Fike of Park City; her brother, Russell Beck of Emporia; her sister, Irene Sattler of Newton; her four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Anita will be at 3:00pm on Saturday, February 11 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Melvern Cemetery.
