Obituary

Osage City - Alice Marie Fletcher, 94, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at her home near Osage City, Kansas. She was born on January 29, 1928, in Girard, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest and Elva Meyer.
Alice grew up in Girard and had lived in Independence, Kansas before moving to Osage City in 1994.
Alice had worked as a Private Executive Secretary for Arco Sinclair Pipeline Company in Independence. She had attended the Lutheran Church in Osage City, was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Sorosis Club and the Library Book Club in Osage City.
In January of 1958, Alice was united in marriage to John Douglas Fletcher.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, John, on April 25, 2017; by her parents, Ernest and Elva; by her stepson, Steven Fletcher, a Vietnam Veteran: and by her brother, Ernest Meyer, Jr.
Alice is survived by her two stepdaughters, Kathleen Jayko of Crystal Lake, Illinois and Judith Kirchner of Clintonville, Wisconsin; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Alice will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 13 at the Girard Cemetery in Girard, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm, prayer service at 7:00pm, on Tuesday, July 12 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon
