Obituary

Lyndon--Alberta Mae Jiskra, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Osage Nursing Center in Osage City, Kansas. She was born on February 3, 1942 in Steelville, Missouri the daughter of Albert and Hattie Brand Miller.

Alberta had lived in Garden Plain before moving to the Lyndon area 19 years ago. She worked as a clerk and manager for the Tractor Supply Company in Topeka and Orscheln's in Ottawa for several years. She enjoyed time with her two dogs and cats, reading, planting flowers, and listening to Elvis and George Strait.

On May 23, 1971 Alberta was married to Alvin Lee Jiskra in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Hattie and by her sister, Mary Lou Hollabaugh.

Alberta is survived by her husband, Alvin of the home; her two daughters, Rebecca (Brian) Becker of Keota, Iowa and Rhonda Jiskra of Lyndon; and five grandchildren, Dakota Jiskra, Spenser Becker, Sage Becker, Shae Lynn Becker and Kyra Jiskra.

Alberta was cremated and private family memorial services will be at a later date.
